Every Time You Use the Club, You Help Someone with Developmental Disabilities

The Chicago Canine Club is a social entrepreneurship initiative designed to generate additional revenue to support the mission of Community Support Services (CSS). CSS provides services to people with developmental disabilities and their families, helping them to strengthen their independence, self esteem, and ability to participate in and contribute to community life. The Club also hosts the Canine Care Assistant Training Program, devised to help CSS participants develop job-specific skills. Classes are offered in eight-week sessions and the curriculum covers the basics of handling, caring for, and working with dogs, as well as hands-on experience with dogs boarded at the Chicago Canine Club.
